Arcadia High School (AHS)’s Visual Arts Department held its eighth annual Art Exhibition from Mar. 31 to Apr. 2 in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). The exhibition showcased multiple works from students in Art Honors, Art 1, and AP Art. In addition to drawings, attendees were able to appreciate works from Ceramics 1 and 2, Screen Printing, Animation, Graphic Design, and many more. The gallery was open to all who were interested, and elevated the AHS art program, a credit to every student who put countless hours into their pieces.
“Graphic design is sometimes misunderstood as an art form because it’s not a traditional art form that is done. Some people think that digital art is not art. However, graphic design takes tremendous creativity and ideas to produce,” said Graphic Design, Animation, and Art 1 teacher Ms. Ing Mu.
As a whole, the Art Exhibition served as a rewarding experience for participants and an opportunity for the rest of AHS to recognize the art program.
