Arcadia High School’s (AHS) Spring Pep Assembly was held on Mar. 20 during 3rd period. Students filled the bleachers of the North Gym as they eagerly watched the many displays and announcements.

The assembly, prepared by the AHS ASB, started with a Percussion performance, with members both dancing and playing instruments such as xylophones and drums. It was soon followed by Color Guard’s performance, “Rewired”, a routine with fluid movements and tricks like flinging the rifles in the air.

“It was so fun to experience, I would love to see more in the coming years!” said freshman Austin Ng.

The spring sports teams were also announced, including Girls Softball, Boys Golf, Boys Baseball, Badminton, Boys Tennis, Boys Volleyball, Swim and Dive, and Track and Field.

When all the teams were introduced, the Pep Squad came out, dancing to a medley of songs that included “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson and WALK THE MOON’s “Shut Up and Dance.”

Students from all grade levels soon competed in a game called “Row the Boat.” The game, in which a line of people lying on the floor passed along one person on top of a table to reach the end of the room, required much teamwork and communication.  In the end, the seniors took the win, and one was even gifted a trophy to take home.

“The game was a little confusing to play, but I still ended up having a great time,” said freshman Molly Lu.

Afterwards, the 2026 Prom Committee announced the Prom theme to much anticipation: When the Last Petal Drops. It was also revealed that Prom would be held at The Cathedral Pomona on May 16.

Seniors soon danced to a mix of songs, such as “Trendsetter” by Conner Price, “Chanel” by Tyla, and Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie.” The assembly ended with all the students in the bleachers standing up to sing AHS’ Alma Mater.
