Love was in the air as ASB and Link Crew prepared for their Spread the Love lunch event. The event took place on Feb. 11 in the Rally Court. Students lined up to eat Oreo “love bugs” and drink strawberry lemonade.
Link Crew ran a pop-the-balloon event, where students raced to pop balloons in various ways, such as stomping on them. There was a freshmen-only fondue station and chocolate covered strawberry table. Link crew leaders were chosen to lead each activity, such as the celebrity crush wall and paper heart leis.
Behind the scenes, ASB planned the events far in advance.
“We [were] separated into groups for setup, and then for the actual event, we [had] spots to go [to] and different shifts. My favorite part of this event was the creativity that came with the celebrity crush wall and the heart leis,” Freshman Vice President Jada Miu said.
Many students enjoyed the free snacks and activities. Heartfelt music was playing and contributed to the mood of the event. Students partook in creative, delicious activities and shared love with each other in the spirit of Valentine’s Day.
