Even with final exams swiftly approaching, the Performing Arts Center (PAC) was alive with student performers and audience members alike for the Holiday Assembly on Dec. 13.
After a brief welcome from ASB, Orchesis performed a dance to “This is Christmas.” Dressed in peppermint red outfits that sparkled with each move, the dancers gave the assembly a lively and fast-paced start.
As the red curtains lowered, the student Acapella students entered the front of the stage to sing “Last Christmas.”
Chanteurs and Choir sang “Sky Full of Snow,” “S’Vivon,” and three songs from the Frozen 2 movie soundtrack: “Into the Unknown,” “Some Things,” and “Show Yourself.” Next, the five student members of the Brass Quintet performed “Santa Baby,” keeping up the classic festive theme of the day.
The final performing group was, Orchestra who set up the stage to perform “Waltz of the Flowers” and “Trepak.” The show concluded with a final performance by Orchestra, joined by choir, performing “So This is the Great Wide Sea from Mosaic for Earth” and “Joy to the World.” As the show wrapped up, students applauded and cheered for their friends on stage, ending the assembly with a positive note.
There were three assemblies performed so that all Arcadia High School students could enjoy the festivities, each lasting 45 minutes.
