Brief: Arcadia Festival of Bands

The Arcadia High School (AHS) Marching Band paraded up and down Duarte Rd. on Saturday, Nov. 18 for the 70th Annual Arcadia Festival of Bands (AFOB). The band finals saw schools from all over the state of California competing in marching championships. Arcadia’s three middle schools, Dana Middle School, First Avenue Middle School, and Foothills Middle School, also participated in the parade. AFOB is held in association with Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA). Later in the evening, 6A level bands vied for field show state championships at Citrus Community College. Flags flew and dazzling arrangements graced the football field as AHS performed their field show. Ultimately, AHS came away with 2nd place, while Rancho Bernardo High School (San Diego, CA) took the win.

Congratulations to the Apache Marching Band for the splendid performance. Thank you to all the visiting schools!
