Brief: Arcadia World Line Percussion – WGI Results

Maryam Sadeghifard, Staff Writer

The Arcadia High School (AHS) World Percussion Ensemble traveled to Dayton, OH for the WGI National Percussion Championship from Apr. 21-23. The group competed in the “World” Class, being the most advanced class of competition.

In a crowd of over 7000 spectators at the University of Dayton Arena on Apr. 23, for the final competition, they scored an impressive 95.9, placing them 4th in the nation.

This accomplishment is one to be celebrated after all their hard work and talent, especially considering only three of our students had ever competed in Dayton before. The music and visual judges were extremely complimentary about the students’ commanding performance.

Make sure to congratulate these students for their professionalism.
