The spooky time of the year is just around the corner, and on Oct. 31, the streets will be filled with children and adults alike looking for treats and perhaps a scare. Whether it be the passionate and perhaps silly costumes, engaging trick-or-treating, or binging on dozens of little treats, there’s something on Halloween for everyone to enjoy. Below are several nearby Halloween destinations that one can visit for the extra fun of venturing beyond your local neighborhood!

Knott’s Scary Farm has become an icon for Halloween fun and partying for years, if not decades. During the season, the park is furnished with new decorations to outline its theme, and the streets are filled with all kinds of spooky things. This is definitely a worthy stop for anyone looking for some innovative and large-scale attractions!

Those who are younger or have younger siblings may appreciate SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular, which is one of San Diego’s largest festivals and is hosted primarily for families and kids. Activities include trick-or-treating, dance parties, and a sea lion duo who put on comical performances throughout the day.

For those looking for a more serious scare, the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride may be just the thing you need.
