After much consideration, Arcadia voters have approved Measure AS, a $358 million school facilities bond, with 61.33% support, surpassing the required 55% majority.
According to the press release by AUSD Chief Communications Officer Ryan Foran on Dec. 18, Measure AS will fund important upgrades, including making schools safer, modernizing classrooms, and improving buildings. It will also add new technology, create collaborative spaces, and construct classrooms for growing student numbers across the district.
A citizens’ oversight committee will monitor Measure AS spending to maintain transparency.
