Arcadia High School’s (AHS) ASB announced this year’s Homecoming theme, “Love Like the Movies,” during lunch on Sept. 10 at the Rally Court. The dance will take place at the Santa Anita Clubhouse on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.
If you plan to attend the dance, please complete the Dance Contract available on the ASB Website. Tickets will be on sale starting Sept. 16, priced at $85 for students with an ASB membership and $95 for those without. Tickets can be purchased at the AHS ASB Office before school, during lunch, or after school, with cash as the only accepted form of payment.
The theme draws inspiration from famous 90’s romantic comedy movies.
“We knew we wanted to go for a ‘romantic night’ vibe to match the elegance of the clubhouse venue, and during one of the brainstorming sessions one of our members suggested a rom-com theme,” said senior Amber Cheung, ASB president. “We all immediately knew it would be perfect!”
According to Cheung, the Santa Anita Clubhouse is set to be one of the largest venues ever used by AHS for a dance. It boasts indoor spaces with cafes, a ballroom, and balconies, while the outdoor area includes a romantically lit patio and multiple snack stands.
