Ice cream. Popsicle. Frozen yogurt. Here in the U.S., these are a few of most popular desserts that people like to enjoy during the blazing heat of the summer. Most people are satisfied with these, as these three desserts alone make up about 70% of the dessert vendors in America. However, this is not the same in varying countries around the world, namely in Europe.
In France, many people refer to their favorite dessert as sorbet Many people refer to this as the “Ice cream of France”, but in reality, it possesses many different traits compared to ice cream. For starters, sorbet is made completely of ice with colored sweetening, while ice cream is made of dairy products and pure sugar. This is also why people prefer sorbet, as it appeases to the sweet tongue of dessert fanatics, even more so than ice cream.

Likewise, England offers many different desserts. One of these is cake. Due to the relatively cool winters that England faces, people have a tendency to enjoy traditional pastries. Cake is a great way to enjoy the mild temperatures and especially afternoon teas, which are one of the prime meals that all citizens tend to enjoy. Varying temperatures and different conditions play a big part in this.

European countries have very different favorite desserts, especially compared to those of the United States. This is mainly due to the varying tastes and cultures that these people have.
