Therefore, it is possible that the zoo had planned to fake April’s pregnancy in order to garner the interest of the public. However, the practical joke may have gone too far, now that there is an unimaginable number of viewers waiting in anticipation of her delivery. Therefore the park felt pressured into following through with the joke.

Although many animal care specialists have debunked the theory, stating that the symptoms April expresses are identical to that of a female giraffe in her pregnancy; this illustrates how this topic has piqued the interest of many people.
