On Feb. 4, the AHS Girls Varsity Water Polo team participated in the Pacific League Prelims. They played Pasadena High School at 5:30. In the first quarter of the game, the Apaches were tied with the Bulldogs at 1-1. In the second quarter, the Apaches were able to gain a lead at 4-2, and maintained this lead into the third quarter, 8-4. In the final quarter, the Pasadena Bulldogs made a valiant attempt to overcome the gap, scoring three more goals. The Apaches scored one more, leaving the final score as 9-7. Interestingly, the Bulldogs had 12 ejections called on them, while the Apaches had 2. Congratulations to the Apaches for winning their game, and good luck to them at the League Finals, where they will be in contention to be League Champions.
