On Oct. 31, the AHS Boys Varsity Water Polo team participated in League Finals. They were matched up against Hoover High School for the position of League Champions. If they won, they would tie with Hoover as first in League; if they lost, they would be second. In the first two quarters of the match, both teams scored goals at an even pace, and the first half ended at 4-4. However, the Apaches trailed behind in the second half of the game, and Hoover pulled ahead, so the game ended at 6-10. Regardless, congratulations to our Apaches for making it all the way to the finals. The AHS Boys Varsity Water Polo team will be continuing on in CIF this week, and we wish them the best of luck.
