On Oct. 10, AHS’ Boys Varsity Water Polo team ended their game against Burroughs High School with an unfortunate loss of 11-12. Despite several attempts by AHS players to score, they fell behind Burroughs 1-3 in the first quarter. However, the Boys Varsity Water Polo demonstrated some outstanding teamwork and managed to catch up to Burroughs 10-10 by the end of the final quarter, extending the game into overtime. Unfortunately, AHS scored only one more goal while Burroughs scored two. This loss was only a minor setback; the boys demonstrated great improvement from previous tournaments, and the team looks forward to a rematch with Burroughs in the League Playoffs.
