Downtown Los Angeles (LA) is home to amazing spaces and historic buildings that create an environment for unforgettable dining experiences. With urban crowds going to bars, restaurants, cafes, and entertainment venues, Downtown LA has become one of the most crowded neighborhoods for food and drinks. Places like Grand Central Market provide endless possibilities and allow people to taste their way through their foodie adventures.

Otium

Adjacent to the Broad, Otium is a piece of artwork in and of itself with a Damien Hirst mural covering the outside. The food, created by former French Laundry chef Timothy Hollingsworth, has flavors from all over the world. Its casual extravagance makes it a great restaurant to go to for wonderful service and style.

Eggslut

Located right on the edge of Grand Central Market, Eggslut will be the first restaurant you see as you walk in. Inspired by a true love for eggs, Eggslut combines innovation with comfort to create a menu filled with dishes featuring a key component; eggs. When dining at Eggslut, it will not just be a meal. It will be an experience, in which the focus is on the quality of the food.

Faith & Flower

Located in the WaterMarke Tower in South Park district, Faith & Flower is a Californian cuisine influenced by flavors from East Asia, Latin America, the Mediterranean, and North Africa. This eatery creates memorable dishes like the Star Wars-inspired mignardise board, created by Chef Josh Graves, which features characters Han Solo, frozen in a block of dark chocolate “carbonite” and a white chocolate Stormtrooper,

Salt & Straw Ice Cream Truck

Known for its artisanal way of creating ice cream, Salt & Straw is a Portland-based company that has opened a food truck located at 829 East 3rd Street. With its popular flavors like Sea Salt with Caramel Ribbons and Stumptown Coffee & Compartes Love Nuts, the truck gives customers a taste of quality ice cream unlike any other.

Sugarfish

Serving some of the best sushi in LA, and even possibly California, Sugarfish is a unique dining experience which showcases Kazunori Nozawa’s talent. Each plate of individual sushi is served and consumed quickly in order for the flavor of the vinegary rice to come together with the finest fresh fish. The quality of the sushi is evident in both the workmanship and the purity of the food.

From local cafes to extravagant fine dining, Downtown LA contains a variety of food and drinks.
