School’s out for the day, you aren’t going home for a while, and you want to get started on homework. Many questions come to mind as you think of quiet work environments that offer free Wi-Fi. Here are several study spots near AHS so you can find the best fit for you! If you go to any of the listed shops, you must purchase something before sitting down and using the Internet.

Almost all AHS students know about Honey Boba, which is located right around the corner from the school. It is the most convenient shop to go to and it serves amazing drinks, including honey boba of course! There are usually several open tables at Honey Boba, as most people order their drinks to go. However, the line can get extremely long after school and the shop becomes much louder.

Two other popular study destinations are Spiceology and Tapioca Express. They are located in the plaza on the corner of 2nd Street and Duarte Avenue and are a good walking distance away from AHS. These restaurants serve delicious food and beverages at a low price. Though they tend to be busy after school, the atmospheres are still relatively quiet and easy to concentrate in.

Joker’s Koffee is a much quieter coffee shop that also sells items found in convenience stores. It is located a couple stores away from Honey Boba, therefore it gets slightly busy after school. However, it is much calmer and less crowded than the other restaurants described above. It also has outlets to charge electronics, so you can work there for quite a while.

This brings us to the final choice, the Arcadia Public Library! This is probably one of the best places to work, as it is a library and is almost guaranteed to be quiet. The library also has outlets so you can charge your phone or laptop. It is open until 9:00 p.m. on weekdays but closes at 6:00 p.m. on Fridays. On certain days right after school, many students occupy the prime seating spots however, there is still plenty of space to work.

There are several other study spots that are near AHS, such as Bubble & Tea which is located on 11 W Huntington Drive. Shops like this are close by car, but may not be very convenient in terms of walking distance, especially compared to other options that are much closer to AHS. Depending on your situation, different places will suit your needs and preferences. Good luck on finding your favorite study spot!
