On Tuesday, Aug. 19, AP Environmental Science (APES) Students came together to perform their group cheers in the Platoon Cheers Bootcamp during lunchtime. Every APES period had its own unique cheer, along with their own signature color.
When the bell strikes 12:41 p.m, students rush out of S-Building front doors in anticipation of the coming cheer.Around the S-Building grass plot, students stand to watch as the groups prepare to perform.The red group is up first. The group forms two rings around as senior Tejas Patel (Bottom) and senior Rashad Sheik (Top) stand in the center shouting their chants.Next up is the orange team, where they stand in a semi circle with senior Isaac Lin (Center) controlling the motions of the group.Next comes the yellow group, stampeding in a double ring formation around senior Teo (Center).The crowd watches as green team organizes themselves in rows with three students carrying another student through it.Next comes gray group who chanted and posed to spell “India”.The last group is blue group, which has them sitting in three different small circles while senior Miles McKinnis (Bottom) carries senior Niccolo Manfre (Top) across the field.
