The junior council ASB hosted Tea Time on Mar. 14, from 3:30-5 p.m., where students were able to bond, relax, and engage in a multitude of activities and treats. Tea Time was established as an avenue for students of all grades to socialize and have a good time. Due to the cold and windy weather, ASB moved all the activities inside to the cafeteria.
“I had an amazing experience!” said sophomore Valerie Hu. “They had snacks and food to grab and fill up on and just so many things to do. It was just an amazing time.”
One of the highlights of the event was the food. There were delicious Chanos Tacos, and there were even snow cones at the event.
“I bought some of their snow cones in spite of the cold,” said Hu. “I also got some food from the taco stand that [ASB] had brought in for the occasion. It was excellent!”
The range of activities provided made the day even more fun. With origami flower folding to tote bag decorating, there was something for all. There were also games such as spike ball, Jenga, and sticky hands that provided entertainment and allowed for friendly competition among students.
Other than enjoying the games and treats, the true spirit of Tea Time was the atmosphere of unity. Students were able to come together, laugh, share, and make memories.
“Honestly, just hanging out with my friends was the best part. It wasn’t so much about the games and activities—it was about bonding and sharing the time together.” said sophomore Kamliah Chavez.
