The extremely anticipated Rihanna x Fenty makeup collection has been released recently with many positive reviews. The Rihanna Fenty Beauty collection was launched on Sept. 8 and in case you haven’t checked her line out yet, here are the must-knows!

To start off, Rihanna’s packaging is amazing. The Match Stix, sticks for coloring and contouring, include magnetic packaging which allows you to clip together multiple of them together. This gives rise to a convenient way to store all the Match Stix people have bought and saves you the pain of scouring your drawers or purses for them! Even the oil blotting paper boasts a sleek packaging that is rolled up into one long sheet and placed inside a tear-off dispenser along with a mirror. Rihanna’s shade range is diverse – the whole point of her beauty collection is to cater to everyone no matter the skin color. It comes with 40 shades in different undertones such as cool and warm tones. According to Vogue, the formulas are also extremely well thought out. All liquid formulas are blend-able–not too creamy and not too soupy. The powders are fine and easy to apply and build upon the skin. Rihanna’s foundations do not play around! They are full coverage and matte, meaning just a small squeeze from the bottle is more than enough to give you the look you wish to achieve. Furthermore, Fenty Beauty with all the 40 shades of foundations comes only with one lip gloss: the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. To explain why she only chose one shade, Rihanna stated that “For the gloss, I wanted a color that would work well on all skin tones,”. She continued to say that “It took awhile, and we had to switch things up to get the right texture, the right smell even. We came to this perfect, rosy-nude that had a little bit of shimmer. It gives you something, but it doesn’t look like you’re doing the most.

When asked why she made 40 exclusive shades of foundations, Rihanna answered, “There’s this middle ground that’s covered really, really well. But then if you’re very pale or if you’re very dark, there’s not a lot of options. And so I wanted to make sure that women of all skin tones were covered and they could be included in what I created.” With the abundance of positive reviews on her beauty collection, Rihanna has definitely pleased the majority’s skin tones!
