As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to thank my brother, who will always be my best friend. Thank you for making me laugh after a bad day; you always know what to do or say to ease my mind from stress. 

I know sometimes, I can be mean and annoying as you say I am, but thank you for not hating me for that. You’re the best little brother I could’ve ever wished for. Thanks to you, I’m mature and responsible, because taking care of you, teaching you, and being the mentor you need has helped me to grow as a person. I’ve learned to be responsible and caring, and that wouldn’t be possible without you. 

I remember our time together in New Jersey, and your face on the verge of tears whenever I was a tad bit late to pick you up from school. I will always cherish the memories from when we walked back home from school, getting onion rings for you and popcorn for me while laughing and talking about our day. 

You are the only person who knows how to lighten up my mood, and although I don’t say it, I am extremely thankful for that. Binge-watching Demon Slayer with you was the most fun I’ve had while watching a show. Even though I’m the older one, at times you seem like the oldest. It’s hard to admit, I’ve learned many things from you. So in a way, we both teach each other valuable lessons. Through seeing you, I’ve learned the importance of patience; that’s something I admire about you. 

I hope that I’ve done a good job at being your older sister. I wish to always inspire you and encourage you till the end of time. Seeing you every day motivates me to do better and be an example for you. I know I may seem nonchalant and terrible at expressing my feelings, but I want you to remember that I will always be there for you when life gets hard. 

I love you, my little annoying brother and I can’t wait to witness all the amazing things you’re going to accomplish. I hope your dream of going to Stanford comes true, and just know that I will be there to support you to achieve that dream. I bet that you’ll be great at Stanford and wish you all the best in whatever you desire to do.
