Thank You, Mom and Dad

Thanksgiving is the perfect time for self-contemplation and expressing gratitude for those who have had a positive impact on our lives. This year I would like to give a special thanks to my two parents who have supported me through rough times and continue to shape the person I am today. Without them I wouldn’t have half the opportunities I have.

By definition, my mom is irreplaceable; no one could ever destroy or replace the intricate bond that binds us together. Even when I make mistakes, I know her love for me won’t dissipate, instead it grows stronger. As a nurse, my mom also endures a lot of stress at work and is often undervalued. Regardless, every day after she cooks, cleans, and spends time with me, all with a smile on her face. When she’s not working, she’s either buying groceries and school supplies or driving me around town. I can always count on her to take care of me when I’m sick or injured. And most importantly, my mom is never afraid to tell me when I’m wrong because she wants me to be the best version of myself. I have an infinite amount of reasons to be thankful for my mom.

I could not have been blessed with a better friend and companion than my dad. He’s extremely hard working and still manages to spend time with me each day. Everyday after school, he takes me to get boba or Starbucks and always reminds me how much he loves me. His caring and diligent personality inspires me to be a better person myself. Whenever I’m extremely stressed, my dad always finds ways to make my day easier and never fails in doing so. Even when we argue, he always reminds me that he still loves me.

I’m extremely blessed to have such amazing parents who make me feel loved and cared for. Thank you, Mom and Dad for guiding me down the right path and never giving up on me. Thank you for supporting me through hard times and providing me with all the resources I need to be successful. I appreciate everything you do for me.
