Makeup Dupes
April 27, 2017
Anastasia Beverly Hills, Benefit, NARS, and Too Faced, are just some of my favorite makeup brands. Though I love and am obsessed with high-end makeup, I don’t always have Benjamin Franklins to spend openly. Fortunately, I have been cautious enough to notice some drugstore products that are crazy similar to high-end ones for way less. Here are some of my top finds!
Anastasia’s Dipbrow brow pomade has certainly earned a name for itself, but with a whopping $18 price tag along with their $18 brush that can also be bought, this item is a pricey one. Milani’s Stay Put Brow Color is an excellent dupe for this product and it also comes with a brush! Their formula is comparable to Anastasia’s pomade and is a third of their price.
Benefit is known for their exceptional eyebrow products and waxing services but also recognized for their popular bronzer, Hoola. Though their travel size costs $15, which isn’t too bad of a price, they sadly only give 4 grams of their amazing product (full size is $30, 8 grams). Physicians Formula, on the other hand is known for their sensitive skin-safe products and golden bronzers (no lie, they really are golden!). They offer a wide range of bronzers, from shiny to matte, and from a subtle to a dramatic bronzed effect, their products will leave you begging for more. Not only have their bronzers won tons of beauty awards, they live up to their own expectations.
NARS’ Radiant Concealer is a notable product and provides a flawless and perfect cover for any imperfections, but its $30 price tag makes it a bit of a splurge item. Maybelline’s Fit Me Concealer, on the other hand, is awfully similar to this product. In addition, it’s great for acne-prone and sensitive skin and for about a fifth of NARS’ price.
Matte lipsticks and creams have been all about the craze this recent year and the trend doesn’t seem to be dying off anytime soon. NYX’s Soft Matte Lip Cream is a hydrating yet unbelievably matte lip color and is an awesome dupe for any high-end lip product. If you’re searching for more of a glossy finish, try NYX’s Butter Gloss. Both of their products come in a variety of colors to choose from and are around $5 each.
Highlighters such as Becca’s Champagne Pop have been wildly popular for giving off a radiant glow and finish to any makeup look but can quickly run up to steep prices. e.l.f.’s baked highlighters and Physicians Formula’s Strobe Palette are both wonderful dupes for any high-end highlighter and will guarantee you an Insta-worthy glow. If you prefer stick highlighters that glide easily onto your skin, try Maybelline’s Master Strobing Stick, it works just as well as Benefit’s Watts Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter.
